A black cat curled on a stack of books is exactly my kind of thing, and the quilting gives it a lovely soft weight in the hand.

The dragon on mine is remarkable up close, all raised stitching and shading. I did not expect that level of detail at this price.

I am on my second one now. The fabric is thick and properly quilted rather than thin and printed, which is why it lasts.

Every Stitch Tells a Story

For years, every bag was hand-quilted in small batches at my little workshop. Now it's time for me to hang up my needle and thread and be Grandma full-time. Every bag that's left is looking for a new home — and I'd love for it to be yours. You only pay shipping.

Our story

About Mary Bags

Every bag I make begins the same way — a pair of hands, a spool of thread, and the belief that the things we carry every day should be made with love, not stamped out by a machine.

After years at my sewing table, it's time to slow down.

My grandmother taught me to quilt at her kitchen table, and I've spent years passing that little craft on through these bags. Now I'm retiring — I want to spend my days with my grandchildren, not paying rent on a warehouse. Rather than lock my remaining bags away, I'd rather send them to homes that will love them. That's why every one is free now — you only pay shipping. Thank you for being part of the last chapter. ❤️
